Mary Agnes Salley Mary Agnes Salley, 85, of Given Estates, Asheville died Sat., April 11, 1992, at her home. A native of Polk County, she lived in Hendersonville most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Dr. E. McQueen and Vernon Kennedy Salley, Sr. She was a retired medical office assistant and had worked with several physicians in Hender sonville. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Asheville and a for mer member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Confederacy. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including E. Mack Salley, III of Asheville and Kay Salley Jones of Lex ington, S.C. Graveside services were held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Asheville, followed by a memorial service at Givens Estate. The Rev. Harold Bales conducted both services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 31 College Place, Bldg. D, Suite 310, Asheville, N.C. 28801, or to the Givens Estate, Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, N.C. 28801. He was a grad uate of DePauw University, in Greencastle, IN, where he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon National Fraternity. He was active in Tryon Little Theatre, Tryon Country Club, Lanier Library, and the Ameri can Red Cross. He was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and an Air Force Veteran of World War II. He moved to Tryon ten years ago from Aurora, IL. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Anne Craigie; one son, William R. Craigle, III of Cary, N.C.; and one grandson. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Tryon Presbyterian Church with Dr. James C. McPherson and Rev. John D. Smith officiating.
